If you are looking for a spicy fun read then The What If Guy is the book for you. This was a great addition to Ms.Blakely’s latest series and was an entertaining read that had me riveted from the first to the last chapter. As I have come to expect from Ms. Blakely, the story was funny with characters you cannot help but fall for and whose story I was fully invested in. Add in that our hero Logan is a single dad and I was so happy. The chemistry between Logan and Bryn is instant, in fact as soon as their eyes meet across a vintage lunch box, the sparks fly. The addition of their cats Queen LaTofu and Bruce respectively added an additional layer and if you listen to the audio it was even better than reading their narratives. I laughed so much with the humour and banter, these characters are just so fabulous that you want to be their friends. I really loved Bryn, what a feisty, sassy, independent woman she is, whilst Logan is totally swoon worthy. Individually these characters were awesome but together they take the book to another level. This book had me laughing and smiling throughout and is one I thoroughly enjoyed. The What If Guy is a fun romantic comedy, it’s a story of finding love when you least expect it, of taking a leap of faith and finding your soul mate.

Wonderful entertaining read

Where to start and what to say that hasn’t already been said..... If you are looking for a fun, entertaining read with adorable characters look no further than The What If Guy ( the Guys Who Got Away #2). I was captivated from the first page and there was no putting down until I had read the final line and even then I wanted more from Logan and Bryn and their cats Queen LaTofu and Bruce and yes these cats do get a couple of chapters to themselves. Ms Blakely is one of my go to authors and as soon as I read the blurb for this book I was excited because let’s be honest she is the queen of romantic comedy and once you add in the single dad angle you are sure to have the perfect read. In these uncertain times I’m sure we are all looking to escape into our books and The What If Guy is the ideal book to help you leave the world behind, the characters are adorable, the banter is witty and funny and the chemistry is sizzling hot. This series is one I will certainly read and re-read because this author’s writing has drawn me in and made me feel like I’m part of this group of friends who share so much love and humour. I’m so excited for the next book in this series and it can’t come soon enough. This is a book about friendship, Soulmates, love and taking a leap of fate when you least expect to. I urge you all to one click this gem.

The What If Guy by Lauren Blakely The What If Guy is the latest in Lauren Blakely's RomCom repertoire and is possibly her sexiest one yet. After the meet-cute all meet-cutes aspire to be, and reconnection like no other, Brynn and Logan discover that Logan is in fact, Brynn's new boss. Queue the shock and horror. They do their absolute best to keep things strictly on a professional level but who are we kidding here? The chemistry was off. the. charts. There was no way these two could keep the sexy things out of the relationship! Le sigh. I lovvvvve single parent romances and Logan is probably one of the sexiest single dads around. I loved his relationship with his daughter - it was so sweet! He’s never been given the opportunity to express himself fully in a sexual sense and he’s delighted to discover that Brynn and he are two peas in a pod. Brynn herself has never had the freedom to just let go and vocalize her needs and she thrives in that regard with Logan. These two characters really set the pages alight with the heat factor but I would have loved a little more heart. Both Logan and Brynn were extremely likable characters and I’m looking forward to more glimpses of them going forward. While I loved the main characters and the story itself, the cats really stole the show for me. Lauren Blakely writes brilliantly from *any* point of view - be it human or otherwise! *I voluntarily read an early copy of this book. **Reviewed by Melinda for Joandisalovebooks Blog.

Purr-fect!

Loved it, couldn’t put it down, and if life didn’t get in the way, I would have had it finished in one sitting. LB does rom-com’s so well. She knows the balance between adding humor to romance and sexy, dirty times. This office, single dad romance will delight and entertain you from page one. There is an added bonus too, there’s a side romance we get to discover between Bruce and Queen LaTofu. To be honest, the story line is not something new. Our hero meets a cute girl and they go on a date, later to discover he is now her new boss. What I loved about this book was the way they dealt with the dilemma. It wasn’t dramatized, it wasn’t dragged out for uncalled for angst. It was pure and believable on how each of them felt and how it affected their jobs and lives. After Logan’s divorce and being shut down for so long, he was ecstatic to find someone who he clicked with, who wanted the same things he did. Someone who treasured intimacy of the mind, body and heart along with love, things that were lacking for each of them in previous relationships. They felt connected to each other on many levels. I thought it was special they could be their true selves when alone together. Bryn discovers that Logan is filthy, sweet and businesslike all in one - a multitasking master! Logan finds out that not only is Bryn gorgeous, kind and smart, but she is an amazing lady boss. Logan had conquered his dream job and career and I loved that he encourages Bryn in every way to do the same, he doesn’t hold her back. Which to me is sexy all on its own! I am truly enjoying this series and I’m looking forward to Frizy’s story and his meet cute with a guy in a bar.
